Built some time in the late 1800s
the Chandlers Hotel has a history that may be linked to Thomas Hardy,
whose sketches match various aspects of the hotel's architecture.
Proprietors, Colin and Debbie Sare
purchased the hotel in 2001 and promptly closed it for a year, carefully
refurbishing the whole building to an exceptionally high standard.
The hotel has become the business accommodation of choice for regular business visitors to the Weymouth and Dorset area.
